Setup Guide

Get CheckWatch running in a few steps. You will need access to your CheckMK server and an iPhone with iOS 17 or later.

Select your plugin installation method.

1. Install the App

Download CheckWatch from the App Store on your iPhone. The app requires iOS 17 or later.

2. Activate Push Delivery

Purchase a subscription inside the app to activate push notification delivery. Your license key is generated automatically.

3. Install the Plugin

Install the CheckWatch notification plugin on your CheckMK server. The plugin sends alerts outbound to the relay without exposing your server to the internet.

4. Pair with QR Code

Open the CheckWatch plugin settings in CheckMK and generate a pairing QR code. Scan it in the CheckWatch app to securely link your device.

5. Configure Notifications

Create a notification rule in CheckMK that routes alerts through the CheckWatch plugin. Choose which hosts, services, and severity levels trigger a push.

6. Test Delivery

Trigger a test notification from CheckMK to confirm the full pipeline works: CheckMK alert, plugin, relay, APNs, and your device.
